Census dwellings shows the base dwelling count from the Census. This is the count before any new builds are added.

The figures come from Census data collected by the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

From the jump-off year on, the Census count is carried forward. Building completions, dwelling assumption adjustments, and housing assumption adjustments are then applied to produce the dwelling total used in the forecast.
