When Will This Feature Be Available?
You've been exploring Place Forecast and you've spotted something that's missing. A feature that would make your work easier, or a data point that we don't currently serve. So you ask us: when will this be available? It's a fair question, and our answer might surprise you. We don't know, and we won't pretend to.
Why We Don't Make Promises
In complex software development, making a delivery promise creates false certainty. It feels reassuring in the moment, but more can go wrong than go right between now and a promised date. When that date slips, and in a complex environment it often does, trust erodes. And eroded trust leads to more demand for promises, not less.
We'd rather be honest than reassuring. We don't commit to delivery dates, and we don't announce what we're working on or what we plan to work on next. This isn't evasiveness. It's a deliberate choice. Announcing plans raises expectations, and raised expectations that aren't met cause more damage than saying nothing at all.
What We Do Instead
We listen. When you tell us what you need, we record it. Every request from every client is tracked, and patterns matter. When multiple clients ask for the same thing, that tells us something important about where to focus. Most of what you see in Place Forecast today started as a client request. We build what is actually needed, not what we think might be useful.
We also value existing clients over potential ones. If you're already using Place Forecast, your needs carry more weight than a feature request from someone who might use it someday. You've chosen to work with us, and we take that seriously.
How You Can Help
Tell us what you need. Don't hold back because you think it might be too ambitious or too niche. Every request helps us understand what matters most to the people who use Place Forecast every day. You won't get a delivery date in return, but you will be heard, and what you tell us directly shapes what gets built.
