Privacy shows the split between private and non-private dwellings. A private dwelling is a house, flat, or similar place meant for people to live in. A non-private dwelling is a place like a hotel, hospital, or aged care home.
The figures come from Census data put out by the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
From the jump-off year on, privacy rates are carried forward and applied to the total dwelling count.
