Average Household Size Explained Place Forecast Feature

Average household size is the key indicator for the housing domain. It shows how many people live in each dwelling on average, split by dwelling type.

The figure is worked out by dividing the enumerated population by the number of dwellings for each type.

From the jump-off year on, the population and dwelling counts are each projected forward and the ratio is worked out from those. A smaller household size means the same number of dwellings holds fewer people.
