The estimated building by statistical area 1 forecast dataset is an axiomatic dataset. It is a custom ordered dataset from the ABS and holds building approvals for every statistical area 1 in the forecast. The ABS creates the dataset from the publication Building Approvals, Australia. Place Forecast uses them as the starting point for projected building approvals. It also uses them to calculate building completions from the completion times and completion rates.
