The estimated building by statistical area 1 forecast dataset is an axiomatic dataset. It holds building approvals for every statistical area 1 in the forecast. The counts come from the ABS publication Building Approvals, Australia. Place Forecast uses them as the starting point for projected building approvals. It also uses them to calculate building completions from the completion times and completion rates.
